The Stations of the Cross is an ancient Christian tradition that has been passed along for centuries because people found it to be a powerful time of connecting with Jesus.  While the traditional Stations consist of twelve depictions, Grace Covenant set up eight interactive “Stations of the Cross” in its sanctuary on Good Friday in 2010.  The hope was that individuals might experience Christ’s presence and love in a fresh, deep and meaningful way by entering into Christ’s own journey to the Cross.  These photographs hung in the church sanctuary capture images from this step-by-step journey with Jesus to the Cross and contain the station name, title and accompanying Scripture passages.  Although Good Friday is the traditional day in the church calendar to recollect Christ’s Passion before Easter, we are invited to remember what Jesus did for us on the Cross year round.
